Pros and cons of living in New Zealand

In 2018, a trip I had been looking for in southwestern Canada was a big disappointment. Thanks to the New Zealand Working Holiday Visa I lived here a year and I have learnt about New Zealand and its pros and cons. I cannot speak highly of New Zealand’s experience. That’s why i blog so much about amazing places to go. It also helps to explain how I live in New Zealand with you.
Pros and Cons of Living in New Zealand
Although moving to nature resonates amongst expatriate travellers there are still significant pros versus cons to living in New Zealand before moving here. Living outside the time zone can make keeping in contact harder, but New Zealand’s beautiful natural beauty and warm people will give you comfort. It is possible to live in New Zealand in sheltered areas with sand-filled areas, beautiful nature and stress-reducing lifestyles along with the best places to take someone out for a first date. The following listing lays out the pros and cons for living with the kiwi.
Pro: High-quality health care (with conditions)
New Zealand has amazing healthcare facilities. I have an American background and I have high standards that most people don’t meet. While New Zealand’s medical system has incredible benefits, it can also be expensive. Permanent residents are not charged the major fees but have to pay for their medical appointments by paying the registration fee. The normal price is $75 NZD which makes you an official patient. They are also available for free. If the patient doesn’t have an appointment with the doctor, the cost could be huge. Dentists can’t be covered and are extremely expensive. I’m often sick, but I use New Zealand healthcare regularly.
Con: Nightlife is quiet outside Queenstown
Queenstown is a club town on New Zealand’s South Island. It is home to bars, clubs and hostelries that are dense in any small town. Almost all tourists party in Queenstown as part of their journey. Outside Queenstown the party scene is very limited. Generally, people choose a nice pub night instead of clubs. You will get nightclubs throughout big cities, such as Auckland, but these are far less than you’d imagine in a city this large. It seemed like there had never been a major festival night in the New Year. Two groups tried organizing something but that was nothing compared to the performances at our Toronto and London clubs.
Pro: New Zealand has incredible food
I never knew New Zealand had a good food supply. Since we haven’t eaten Lamb yet, it was really interesting to see what could be accomplished at our new home. But I realized this was not so at my arrival. Like most other countries, New Zealand is able to provide food in a variety of forms. But there’s a great selection and incredibly good food, for a multicultural society too. You will discover some of the finest Asian food you can eat – including in China! A variety of foods will be found you may never have found. I searched the grocery stores until I saw kiwi berries, red kiwifruit, feijoas and kumara.
Con: It’s Far from Everywhere for Travel
I had no problems. This is the reason that I never moved immediately. New Zealand is a small island just about three hours’ drive away. The journey to Australian territory takes about 3-4 hours. Getting there takes a total of four hours or more. Everyplace on the planet takes 12 hours plus. I travelled 23 hours to New Zealand. I arrived in Singapore and it took about 3.5 hours. These are expensive flights to get started. This is the reason Kiwis have so much fun booking holidays a year, this way they can pay for a very expensive ticket and have many smaller trips before returning.
Pro: Slower pace and amazing work/life balance
Kiwi people are unable to believe that working is their job. Like their Australian neighbours, when 5:30pm comes around, the two of them go away from home and explore their new home. A large number go to beaches to relax in the garden. The slow pace in this country has reflected that. Many New Zealanders are aware that life is much deeper than the work itself. Occasionally, it is possible for a lawyer to work overtime, but for most people your boss will let you go for the sun. I love energy while in Auckland.
Is it worth living in New Zealand?
New Zealand offers many opportunities for raising families. We also give children opportunities to get close to nature and experience diverse sports and recreational experiences. Many ex-pat families find it very friendly to live here.
Friendly and welcoming people
Kiwis tend to be friendly with relaxed and positive attitudes towards their lives. Comparable to Europe, New Zealand remains young. Even Māori natives have remained in this island for only about 800 years. Like other countries New Zealand is largely composed of immigrants and has suffered through colonization. Kiwi, however, do not look back. They are friendly and welcoming to other ethnicities as well.
Opportunities for employment
Because of the growing economy and low populations, economic markets face a shortage of highly skilled labour, including IT, finances, healthcare and tourism. Untouched Nature
Has anyone viewed “The Hobbit”? Or “The Lord of the Rings”? How did this film get made in New Zealand? There remain many uninhabited places, even in the far corners of large cities and towns. You’ll be a real adventurer if you first visit the site. For a small country, New Zealand has an extremely diverse landscape. There is nothing to see on these unspoiled coastlines.
